Suggested Stock Assembly Parts for Heatseeker

I am often asked for stock recommendations from people planning or building their Heatseeker rifle.

Here is what I use on a lot of my Heatseeker builds:

Carbine buffer tube: AR-STONER Receiver Extension Buffer Tube 6-Position Mil-Spec Diameter (midwayusa.com)

Castle nut: AR-STONER Receiver Extension Buffer Tube Lock Ring AR-15 LR-308 (midwayusa.com)

Minimalist stock (only weighs 7 ounces): Mission First Tactical Battlelink Minimalist Collapsible Stock AR-15 (midwayusa.com)

then on top of the stock I add a 1/8" pad from CDS Tactical

I find with medium height scope rings that is all the cheek rise I need. If you find you need a little more you could get the 1/4" pad instead of the 1/8".

If you want to skip all of the above and go higher end, a really nice option is the Samson SAS stock. It has adjustable LOP, adjustable cheek riser and it folds. They make them for both rail and AR buffer thread interfaces.
